Microgramma is a genus of small to medium sized ferns, mostly from the tropical Americas. Many make suitable terrarium subjects, and many are good in the greenhouse. Microgramma megalophylla, above, is one of the largest species in the genus. It has fuzzy, flattened rhizomes. Microgramma piloselloides, above, looks very similar to Microgramma reptans. The most obvious difference is in the fertile fronds. In the photo above, Microgramma pilloselloides is on the left, and Microgramma reptans is on the right. Both are charming little species.
