Divisions established in 3″ pots. Lec. pumila is one of the smaller lecanopteris.
Lecanopteris is a genus of ant-inhabited ferns. Most have hollows in the rhizome. With a few exceptions, these don’t like extreme heat. They need a lot of water, but require very good drainage. Tree fern plaques and baskets usually work well. Good-quality sphagnum can work, but some of these can become quite large, and it is then best to use something more open.
